About the role

We’re looking for a passionate Technical Writer to create insightful, long-form content on AI Engineering. You’ll turn complex technical topics into engaging stories that educate, inspire, and drive visibility for DataCrunch across the global AI community.

Practicalities

Location: Helsinki, Finland (Hybrid or Remote within Finland)
Start Date: Mid-December to early January
Contract Type: Full-time (Freelance or Part-time options considered for those finalizing academic research)
Working Language: English

Your responsibilities

Research, write, and publish long-form content on AI training, inference, and GPU infrastructure optimization
You’ll collaborate closely with DataCrunch’s engineering and marketing teams - working with engineers, researchers, and marketers to identify and develop high-impact content topics.
Partner with external organizations (e.g., Hugging Face, SGLang, SemiAnalysis) on co-authored technical pieces
Optimize all content for both SEO and AI search to drive visibility and conversion
Collaborate with DataCrunch’s design and marketing teams to repurpose articles into various formats - including social posts, videos, and infographics - to broaden their reach and impact.
Own and manage the content calendar, ensuring consistent output and quality
Measure performance and iterate on strategy to improve ranking and engagement

Your key competencies

Strong technical foundation in AI, ML, or cloud infrastructure
Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and engagingly
Experience writing and publishing technical blogs - ideally with existing examples that demonstrate your ability to translate complex topics into accessible, engaging content
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English
Familiarity with SEO, keyword research, and content performance metrics
Self-driven and organized – able to manage multiple content projects simultaneously
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Active participant in tech meetups or online communities for AI builders and developers

Success criteria for this role in the next 6-12 months

Publish two high-quality, technically accurate content pieces per week
Achieve top 1-3 rankings in search and AI search for key GPU and AI infrastructure terms
Establish DataCrunch as a credible, authoritative voice in the European AI infrastructure space
Build a repeatable content process and calendar aligned with business growth objectives
Demonstrate measurable growth in organic traffic, engagement, customer acquisition, and lead generation driven by content.
