Practicalities

  • Hybrid mode: This role requires presence in our Kamppi office at least 4 days per week. Don’t worry - you won’t be alone or hangry there. (We keep a stocked fridge…)
  • Level of expertise: Senior.
  • Employment type: Full-time and permanent.

Your responsibilities

  • Contribute to building a Sovereign European Cloud.
  • Work on the next-generation provisioning system, designed from scratch.
  • Build integrations together with globally-renowned vendors.
  • Be proactive in evolving our services — refactor, extend, or build new ones when you see fit.

Your key competencies

  • 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
  • Proficiency with Go or alternatively several other backend languages.
  • Experience in System Design with focus on correctness and performance.
  • Proficiency in working with SQL databases and designing scalable data models.
  • Good familiarity with GNU\Linux: virtualization, networking, shared filesystems.
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with on-prem cloud computing platforms.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and DevOps practices.
  • Experience building distributed systems.

Success criteria for this role in the next 6-12 months

  • You’ve developed a good understanding of our overall stack and can contribute in many parts of the codebase.
  • You know where to start looking for the root cause whenever you see an issue.
  • You’re confident in architecting and developing larger features/microservices for our product.

How the process looks like

  1. Introduction chat with the TA Partner (45 mins): Learn more about us and share your career aspirations.
  2. Take-home assignment: Show how you work and think.
  3. Technical interview with the team (90 mins): Dive deeper into the assignment and your expertise with your potential colleagues.
  4. Final interview (60 mins): Meet with our CTO and the rest of the team.
