About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Data Center Networking Technician to support the build, deployment, and maintenance of our data center network infrastructure.

You’ll be responsible for racking, cabling, installing, and testing network equipment, ensuring deployments are fast, reliable, and built to a high standard. You’ll work closely with Network Engineering and Data Center Operations and teams to remediate technical debt, improve installation quality, and support the physical launch of new data centers and pods.

This is an on-site, execution-focused role for someone who enjoys working with hardware, troubleshooting physical network issues, and improving how large-scale network environments are built and maintained.

Your responsibilities
  • Perform racking, cabling, and installation of network equipment in data centers.
  • Support network deployments, ensuring installations are fast and up to the standard
  • Collaborate with the Network and Data Center Ops teams to remediate technical debt across all data centers.
  • Improve processes and bring fresh and critical perspective.
  • Assist with the physical launch of new data centers and pods, including onsite setup and infrastructure readiness.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot physical network infrastructure as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvements that improves quality of installations
Your key competencies
  • Must be based in Finland (or willing to relocate).
  • Hands-on experience with networking hardware, data center environments, or field technician work.
  • Ability to work physically on-site, including lifting, cabling, and hardware installation.
  • Cable management hands on experience, including:
    • Fiber cable types, connectors types and their compatibility
    • Transceiver types/formats/etc. and compatibility
    • Patchpanels and cable organizers
    • Fiber optical test tools: light source power meters, fiber cleaning tools, OTDR knowledge
    • Ability to troubleshoot crossconnect failures, loopback testing procedure
Nice-to-haves
  • 4+ years of experience in networking, data center operations, or telecommunications.
  • CCNA, JNCIA, JNCIA or equivalent proven networking knowledge.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, highly technical environments, telecom or hyper-scaler ideally
  • DWDM and optical basic knowledge

Success criteria for this role in the next 6-12 months
  • Network installations are completed quickly, cleanly, and to a consistent standard.
  • Physical network technical debt across data centers is reduced.
  • New data centers and pods launch on time with reliable network infrastructure.
  • Fewer installation-related issues through improved processes and standards.
  • Strong collaboration with Network and Data Center Operations teams, with minimal supervision needed.
